I need a compact fixture designed so a standard USB webcam sits perfectly steady while cartons glide beneath it and two barcodes are captured in a single frame. Stability is critical—I don’t want vibrations or movement degrading scan accuracy—yet the fixture must let me tweak the camera’s tilt and height quickly to accommodate products of different sizes.
I’ve chosen a 3-D-printed solution because it keeps costs down, lets me iterate fast, and can be reproduced easily for other lines later. The print volume of my desktop FDM printer is 220 × 220 × 250 mm, so every component needs to fit that envelope or be split into interlocking parts. Standard PLA or PET-G is fine; please include recommended infill and wall thickness so the mount stays rigid after thousands of scans per shift.
Most webcams have a simple threaded stem or a clip. Design around a 1/4-20 tripod thread and also include a detachable cradle for typical clip-style webcams—this gives me flexibility if I swap cameras later.
Deliverables:

3. No single part exceeds my printer’s build area.
4. Barcodes positioned 40–80 mm below the lens remain centered through the adjustment range.
