Freelance Accountant needed for multi-entity bookkeeping and audit-prep support (Hong Kong entities, QuickBooks Online).
We operate several small entities in Hong Kong, starting with one entity currently closing its FY2023 audit (fewer than 100 transactions for the year, books are about 90% complete). We need help reviewing QuickBooks Online against bank statements, fixing account classification issues, reconciling intercompany balances with related entities, reviewing convertible note and accrued interest balances, and producing a clean Excel workbook (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, General Ledger) ready to hand to our Hong Kong auditor.
This starts as a small paid trial project, about one week of work. If it goes well, it becomes a recurring monthly engagement across multiple entities, with a weekly check-in call plus ongoing async communication.
Requirements:
Accounting degree, CA, CPA, ACCA, or HKICPA preferred
Strong hands-on QuickBooks Online experience
Comfortable with intercompany reconciliation and related party or convertible note accounting
Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
Excellent written and spoken English, since this role requires regular live communication
Reliable, responsive, and detail oriented, with clean, well organized formatting habits
