I have just finished building a bespoke accounting platform and now need a full, end-to-end round of quality assurance. My main concern is that every feature behaves exactly as intended, so the focus is squarely on functionality, performance, speed and user-facing features. Basically, our accounting software should behave like other accounting software without any issues.
The work is strictly manual testing. I want someone to step through the application the way a real finance team would—recording transactions, generating every type of report, and exercising each layer of user-access control—while also probing the less traveled corners of the workflow to uncover hidden edge-case issues.
Every single feature must be tested manually by real experts with real world data and scenarios. The flow and logic must be tested for any issues. The entire accounting software must be ready to publish and behave correctly.
Key deliverables
• A complete set of test cases that covers transaction processing, report generation, user permissions, integrations, and any other feature you encounter.
• A concise bug list with severity, reproducible steps, screenshots or screen recordings, and suggestions for fixes where obvious.
• A final test-summary document confirming that all high-severity issues have been retested after fixes are applied.
Acceptance criteria
1. No critical or major bugs remain open.
2. All documented test cases trace back to a verified requirement or discovered feature.
3. Test evidence (logs, screenshots, videos) is organized in a shared folder for easy reference.
You will have access to the staging environment, admin credentials, sample data, and a direct line for clarifying questions. If you spot logical inconsistencies in workflows or accounting rules, flag them; the brief goes beyond surface-level UI checks.
Let me know your estimated timeframe for a thorough pass so we can get started.
